MECHNICAL ENGINEER - Cape Town, South Africa

Salary: R45,000–R55,000 p/m Location: Durbanville, Cape Town, South Africa Responsibilities: Including, but not limited to: • Oversee multiple projects, including your own and provide guidance. • Mentor junior mechanical engineers and technicians. • Gain a fundamental understanding of the design, operation, inspection and repair of Capital Drilling Equipment as well as all the processes, procedures, etc. of the Company. • Conduct in-house design and development, which will be the primary function of the role, including strength calculations (from first principles) and FEA/Simulation, 3D CAD modelling and drawing using SolidWorks, manufacturing data pack generation (incl. BOM's, QCP's, Works Instructions, Manuals); • Manage design and development Projects, which will be the secondary function within the role from inception through to delivery, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. • Giving expert technical advice to Technicians and coaching new Technicians. • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QC policies, procedures, and specifications. • Detailed reporting and inspection report reviews; regular report and feedback to Management and the Customer on the progress of project. • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions; draft new procedures as required. • Ensure safe work practices are being adhered to at all times. Skills: • An advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite (especially Word, Excel, Teams). • Excellent written communicator (email, technical report writing, WhatsApp etc.). • Excellent level of English, both written and verbal. • Sound understanding of 3D CAD packages, in particular SolidWorks would be advantageous. • Sound understanding of FEA Software, in particular SolidWorks Simulation and/or Abaqus would be advantageous. • Sound understanding of Engineering Calculations Software, in particular Mathcad, MATLAB or similar would be advantageous. • Exposure to ASME VIII, API and Class Rules (ABS & DNV) in respect of design and manufacture would be advantageous. • Sound understanding of fabrication, boiler making/welding, precision machining. • Excellent organizational, planning & time management skills. Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science (BSc Eng) or Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering (minimum requirement) NOT EXCEPTING: • BTech • BEng Tech Experience: • Three to six years' experience in a relatable engineering environment.
Raw Materials Clerk - Cape Town, South Africa

Salary: R15,000 – R18,000 per month Location: Bellville, Cape Town Responsibilities: -Process supplier PODs through to invoice stage on the ERP system, including Accpac. -Process supplier invoices as received. -Monitor outstanding purchase orders that have not yet progressed to invoice stage. -Ensure vendor account entries are accurately recorded. -Investigate unmatched receipts. -Request credit notes from suppliers where required. -Maintain accurate document sorting and filing as paperwork is received from sites. -Liaise regularly with raw material suppliers. -Prepare and finalise supplier reconciliations for monthly payments. -Provide administrative support to Operations Managers, Site Operators and the Cost Accountant. Requirements - Minimum Grade 12. - A relevant degree or diploma in Finance or Accounting would be advantageous. - Basic understanding of accounting procedures. - Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. - Excellent attention to detail. - Strong administrative skills. - Analytical and organised. - Able to work accurately under pressure. Salary: Competitive and Market Related (To be discussed during interview) Location: Northern Suburbs, Cape Town Client Industry: Marine Drilling Riser Maintenance, Inspection, and Remanufacturing Responsibilities -Conduct technical reviews of manufacturing record books (MRBs) and inspection data packages. -Support manufacturing process setup and validation, including preparation of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR). -Develop, review, and maintain Quality Control Plans (QCPs) to ensure complete alignment with engineering drawings, client specifications, and international standards. -Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation under strict revision control, ensuring full compliance with quality management procedures. -Prepare and present clear technical reports for internal engineering leads and external inspection personnel. -Utilize artificial intelligence tools, specifically Microsoft Copilot, to support document review and drafting, verifying all outputs against original technical source files. Coordinate with Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, Engineering, Operations, and Inspection teams to resolve site issues. -Complete required professional training, build a deep understanding of core riser remanufacturing processes, and uphold workplace safety standards at all times.
